After 6 months of deciding which system to purchase and looking at Ecoflow, Inergy and a few other notables, I felt the Bluetti battery longevity was the most important feature in my final decision. I was torn between the AC300 and the 200MAX.
I didn't anticipate being able to use the system for the 1st time so quickly in early November but needed a power source for my wedding which we were lucky enough to host outside thanks to a nice day! Our DJ used my 200MAX (hooked to the PV350 solar panel) to run his laptop, PA and massive loudspeakers. It ran for well over an hour, 1st playing backup music while people waited and then for the actual ceremony itself. It was a very big, open farm field to give some perspective with the speakers well over 100 ft away from the audience and the officiant to prevent mic feedback.
When I checked the unit, it was still running at 99% reserve battery capacity - this was with partial cloud cover too! Super impressed as audio equipment is high-draw and I was worried that there wouldn't be enough juice. I was very pleasantly surprised, and if on a budget like I was this power supply station did the trick. Would I still have bought the AC300? Sure, if I had the extra money as you also need to buy a battery too! But with this, I was able to buy the faster charging solar panel and not invest so much money up front just to have a backup system. I can always add a B300 battery (or 2) later to increase capacity so I am pretty sold on this combo. Hope this helps as the only issue I have with Bluetti is the limited assistance when buying. That said, it was good to take my time as I feel I made a good choice simply by making sure I fully understood all my options without simply being "sold" on a particular brand.
Simple setup, worked right out of the box. would like to see a programmable time AC charging option in the future.
I was happy to see the unit being shipped so fast. One thing I felt was not in order was the shipping company just left the unit on the steps. I think the unit should have been held to make arrangements to be home
Received unit as promised ,Did some load testing to see if it could handle the equipment that I need to power during a power outage It worked very well and happy to see that it has no problem to run my house furnace and oxygen concentrator
The big 4~: Goal Zero, Jackery, Ecoflow and the Bluetti, right?
I did own one of the others, but I truly believe that the Bluetti 200 Max is the perfect fit for most households…and I’m changing brands.
The Bluetti 200 max rightfully boasts the new Lithium Oxide LiFePO4 battery, which can charge 5x more times than others. That means it last a lot longer! In addition, it’s the only option at this price point that has the TT 30 amp connection. -Great for off-grid for sure, but also perfect for city on-grid peeps that have a transfer switch like me, that need it during power outages. I also bought the 350 solar charger, but I haven’t tested it yet, so I can’t comment. (But you need one, right?)
It’s only been a few weeks, but this is the unit I needed, and I can even build on it with the add-on batteries. ( I will most likely buy one this year).
Listen, every household will have a unit like this within the next few years. Energy is getting extremely expensive and scarce. Start with this, and build with the expandable batteries.
